Last updated 14 August 2026

This statement explains what personal data YOUNG Campus collects when you visit this website or apply to the programme, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.

We have written it in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, write to us and we will explain it properly.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is:

2. What we collect, and why

When you apply

The application form asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number, country of residence, date of birth, your current situation, optionally a link to your LinkedIn, portfolio or CV, and your motivation for joining. We also record the moment you submitted the form.

We use this to assess your application, to contact you about it and to run the recruitment process.

Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and the steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement (Article 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b) GDPR).

When you visit the website

Our hosting provider records standard technical data for every request: your IP address, the time, the page requested, and your browser and device type. This is used to serve the site, to keep it available and to defend it against attacks and abuse.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across websites. The numbers we see are aggregated and cannot be traced back to you as an individual.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

This website sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything else. That is also why you were not asked to accept any. See our cookie statement.

4. How long we keep it

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

6. If you are under 16

If you are younger than 16, we need your parent or guardian to agree before you send us an application. Ask them to email [email protected] so we can record their permission alongside your application.

7. How we protect your data

This website is served over HTTPS only. Applications are transmitted encrypted and stored in access-controlled accounts inside our Google Workspace, available only to the people who need them. We review who has access whenever someone joins or leaves the team.

8. Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to assess applications. Every application is read by a person.

9. Changes to this statement

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects a live application, we will tell you directly.
